Лоффт (Кэпель Lofft, 1751-1824) — английский писатель. Адвокат по профессии, Л. выступил противником рабства и войны с американцами. Главные его сочинения: "The Praises of Poetry", поэма (Л., 1775), "Three Letters on the Question of Regency" (1788), "A History of the Corporation and Test Acts, with an Investigation of their Importance" (1790), "Remarks on Burke's letter upon the French revolution" (1790), "On the revival of the Cause of t h e Reform in the Representation of the Commons in Parliament" (Л., 1809).
